Management Talent
Kachi Partners works with the best management talent in each of our portfolio companies' industries. We provide these executives with the unique opportunity of leading a company poised for continued profitable growth and of being supported by professionals with substantial and diverse operating experience. We also believe in using equity to align the interests of management and owners. Equity incentives and equity buy-ins, sales- and EBITDA-based cash bonuses for our executives are all part of Kachi standard operating procedure.
"As CEO, I know the buck stops with me. I am glad to have this autonomy, but Kachi and the outside directors on my board are a terrific resource for advice and perspective. I make better decisions with their help."
Keith Favre, CEO, Photo Stencil
Kachi's involvement with our companies and their management takes two forms. First, we assist our management teams at the board and strategic levels as active investors. We implement a "noses in, fingers out" approach to governance, by providing advice and support to our CEOs and management in many formal and informal ways. In addition, we clearly identify those few decisions points where we want to be involved. Outside those areas, while we may frequently consult with our CEOs and their managers, we prefer to maintain clear accountability by encouraging them to make their own decisions.
Kachi asks thought-provoking and challenging questions that help me get the most out of myself and my team. As a result, we are accelerating my company's transformation to a professionally run business and increasing its profitability."
Steve Jones, President, Platte Valley Woodworks
The second form our assistance takes is providing professional services that similarly sized companies can't access cost-effectively. Whether it is pursuing a significant M&A opportunity on behalf of a portfolio company, reviewing a draft of a contract with a key customer, or preparing a business case to support a major piece of CAPEX, Kachi's professionals are ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with management when called on.
