Business Owners
Kachi Partners knows firsthand that an excellent working relationship between seller and buyer is a critical element in a successful transaction. We work hard to get to know you and your business and to help you get to know us and ours. We believe that this mutual knowledge will allow us both first to navigate around any unexpected obstacles to a successfully concluded transaction, and then to profitably grow the business as both of us expect.
Getting To Know One Another
"Over the course of selling my business, I developed a great relationship with Kachi Partners. From the beginning of our involvement together, they have been straight forward, responsive, and true to their commitments. After closing I continue to work with them, and they have proven to be an excellent and committed business partner."
Dan Fergus, President, Genesee Group
"I dealt with Kachi because they demonstrated the greatest commitment to our transaction. They extensively researched our technology and our industry, and even visited our annual industry trade show."
Larry Heitz, prior CEO and owner, Photo Stencil
Solid personal relationships between the professionals at Kachi and the business owners and their top managers are the foundation for our collective future success. One reason we restrict ourselves geographically to companies in the western U.S. is to ensure that travel logistics never get in the way of developing and maintaining these relationships.
Getting To Know Your Business
We use the formal due diligence process to get to know both the seller and the business. Of course we want to ensure the risks associated with our investment are consistent with our expectations. But just as importantly, we want management to hit the ground running once the transaction closes. For each acquisition, company and market diligence help determine our investment thesis, business strategy and operational plan. In addition, post-closing, we expect to work closely with management as informed advisers, so pre-closing we make the investment of time and resources necessary to ensure that we have an excellent grasp of the nuances of the business and the industry.
Operational Expertise
Kachi brings extensive operational experience to each transaction and to each portfolio company. All of our principals have substantial C-level experience. As a result, each of us is personally familiar with the challenges of making payroll, satisfying customers and growing both sales and profitability. This familiarity ensures that our due diligence research focuses on what really matters, that the transaction doesn't unduly distract business owners from their business, and that when the transaction closes, the performance of the company doesn't miss a beat.
